Our History
APCTC was established in 1977 as a program of Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health. The program was the very first mental health service in Los Angeles County specifically developed to meet the unique needs of rapidly increasing number of recent Asian Pacific immigrants and refugees who were in need of a wide range of mental health services.
In 1990, as a response to community needs, APCTC became a private, county-contracted agency under the auspices of Special Service for
Groups (SSG). SSG, founded in 1952, is a community based
non-profit human services umbrella agency.
Our Clients
APCTC provides vital services to men, women,
adolescents and children who are dealing with a wide range of mental

the focus of APCTC has been on serving the needs of Asians & Pacific
